What was some deficiencies the Russian army had

1. Poorly led officers. Poorly trained and focused on an autocratic leadership style.

2. Poor tactics. Generals did not work together and relied on old-fashioned infantry and cavalry charges against modern weapons and trench system.

3. Ill-equipped. The Russian army was poorly equipped, for example, soldiers had to share rifles: 6.4 million men sharing 4.6 million rifles. There was also a shortage of boots and food.

How was Russia economy affected by the war

Many factories closed, and many fields were left to waste, meaning shortages were widespread. Food and materials in some areas also went to waste, as there were not enough trains to carry it to where it was needed, and fuel was prioritized to the army. At the same time, Russian money began devaluing as early as 1914, and at the same time prices were going up. Wages bought less and less due to inflation.
