Sum
The result of adding two or more numbers.
Difference
The result of subtracting one number from another.
Product
The result of multiplying a number by another.
Quotient
The result of dividing one number by another.
Equation
A mathematical statement that asserts the equality of two expressions.
Operation
A mathematical process such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, or division.
Integer
A whole number that can be positive, negative, or zero.
Fraction
A numerical quantity that is not a whole number, represented as a ratio of two integers.

Variable
A symbol used to represent an unknown value in mathematical expressions.
Coefficient
A numerical factor in a term of an algebraic expression.

The property that both sides of an equation must be equal.
