Instrument designed by fine. Quick method used by the federal government to analyze and compare thousands of jobs. An instrument that analyzes three functions data, people, and things.
Job components inventory JCI
Developed by banks, Jackson, Stanford and Warr. Consisting of more than 400 questions. It is a practical tool used in curriculum development, career guidance in broad based training.
Job structure profile JSP
A revised version of the PAQ developed by Patrick and Moore designed to be used more by the analyst than the workers
Interview
Asking the employee in the immediate supervisor in their place of work to clarify all aspects in the job, obtain a better personal impression, make the employee and the superior participate in the process and for maximize understanding
Observation
A method of watching people perform their jobs in their work setting. It is advantageous because it lets the job analyst actually see the workers do their job and obtain information that the worker may have forgotten to mention during the interview. However, this method is very obtrusive.
