What is the Shema? What does "Shema" mean?
"Shema" is Hebrew for "Hear". It is the most important passage in the Torah, it spells out who God is.
"God is One" in the Shema: What are the possible meanings of this phrase, and which did I say was thebest interpretation?
Monolatry - One God of Isreal chosen out of all other gods (best interpretation)
Monotheism - Only one God exists
What is the relationship between the First commandment and the Shema?
The beggining of the Shema is actually a reitteration of the First commandment
How is the confession that "God is one" in Deut 6:4 potentially a hurdle for first-century Jews believing that Jesus was the Son of God?
Without the concept of the Trinity Jesus being the son of God would seem to be contradictory to that statement
