Detail the four-way election of 1912
The election of 1912 ended with Wilson winning by 42%. The order of presidents by votes was Wilson, Roosevelt, Taft, and Debs. Debs lost by a decent amount of votes. Wilson ran for president under the Bull Moose party or the Progressive Party. Wilson was a trust buster who’s policies were called New Freedom which included - getting rid of monopolies, removing tariff which cause Amendment 16 Graduated Income Tax of 1913, and the third part of his policy was high finance.

The role of black Americans in the social change
African American fight to end discrimination did not lead to immediate changes in legislation*, but later several changes did take place. Organizations such as the NAACP, resulted in building stronger African American communities by providing healthcare, housing, and educational services. *The legislation changed that occurred later did also benefit other minorities.
