The practice of recording initial financial transactions in basic accounting.
Ledger
The record that contains all the accounts and their balances following journal entries.
Trial Balance
A report used to check if total debits equal total credits within the ledger.
Financial Statements
Reports used to communicate the financial results and status of a business.
Domain
The set of all possible input values for a function in general mathematics.
Range
The set of all possible output values that a function can produce.
Linear Functions
Functions represented by a straight line on a graph.
Quadratic Functions
Functions where the highest exponent of the variable is two, typically resulting in a parabolic curve.
Communication Process
The steps through which information is transferred from a sender to a receiver.
Verbal Communication
The use of sounds and words to express oneself, including both spoken and written forms.
Nonverbal Communication
Communication that occurs without words, such as through body language, facial expressions, and gestures.
Barriers to Communication
Specific obstacles that hinder the effective exchange of information.
Formal Communication
Communication that follows specific rules, structures, or professional channels within an organization.
Informal Communication
Casual or unstructured communication that occurs outside of official professional channels.
