File management
The process of creating and organizing files and documents to allow for easy retrieval.
File Management Systems
Software designed to maintain or manage files stored on a computer system, such as Google Drive, Windows Explorer, or Dropbox.
Word Processor
A software used to create and manipulate texts and images, commonly associated with file extensions such as .doc, .docx, and .rtf.
Editing
Making changes to the content of text, including actions like cut, copy, paste, find and replace, deleting, and inserting.
Formatting
Making changes to the appearance of the content, such as font appearances (bold, size, color) and text alignment.
Mail Merge
The process of personalizing a standard document in order to send it to multiple recipients.
Menu Ribbon
An interface feature of word processors, formerly called the menu bar, which consists of menu options called tabs.
Status Bar
The activity bar located in the word processor interface.
Table of Contents (TOC)
A generated list of headings in a document, created by choosing heading levels (e.g., Heading 1) from the Styles category under the Home tab.
Track Changes
A proof-reading feature in Microsoft Word found under the Review tab in the Tracking category that records modifications made to a document.
Presentation Software
Software that allows users to create slideshows consisting of texts, images, audio, video, charts, and hyperlinks for displaying information.
Slide Transitions
Effects that occur when moving from one slide to the next during a presentation sequence.
Slide Animations
Controls that determine how specific content on a slide, such as text, images, or shapes, appears or moves.
Animation Pane
An advanced tool in PowerPoint used to reorder animations, set delays, and synchronize animations across multiple objects.
Section Break
A command under Page Layout used to create user-determined sections for custom page numbering.
