Stoichiometry
The relationship between the macroscopic and molecular level in chemistry.
Mole
A counting unit in chemistry equivalent to 6.022imes1023 'things'.
Avogadro's number
The number of things in one mole, which is 6.022imes1023.
Molar mass
The mass of one mole of a substance in grams, equal to its formula mass.
Limiting reactant
The reactant that limits the amount of product that can be formed in a chemical reaction.
Reaction stoichiometry
The calculation involving the amounts of reactants and products in a chemical reaction.
Percent yield
The ratio of the actual amount produced to the theoretical amount, multiplied by 100.
Balanced equation
An equation with equal numbers of each type of atom on both sides, indicating conservation of mass.
