Preterite Phrases 1

How do you form the preterite?

Take stem and add ending:

-ar -er/-ir

Yo -é -í

Tú -aste -iste

Él -ó -ió

Nosotros -amos -imos

Vosotros -asteis -isteis

Ellos -aron -ieron

Yesterday i talked to my mom

Ayer hablé con mi mamá

I ate a sandwich for lunch

Comí un sandwich al almuerzo

I did the homework last night

Hice la tarea anoche

Did you call your brother?

¿Llamaste a tu hermano?

Did you go out last night?

¿Saliste anoche?

Did you see the game?

Viste el partido?

He bought a new car

Él compró un coche nuevo

She lost her keys
