Health Inequality
Any measurable difference in health status among different populations.

Unnecessary, avoidable, unfair differences in health status.
Health Disparities
Differences in health outcomes closely linked to social or economic disadvantages.
Structural Violence
Harm caused by social structures that are embedded in institutions and historically produced.
Communicable Disease
A disease transmitted from an animal to another animal, an animal to a human, a human to another human, or a human to an animal.
Noncommunicable Diseases (NCDs)
Conditions that typically last for a long time and are not transmitted from person to person.
Neglected Tropical Diseases (NTDs)
A group of diseases that receive less funding and attention compared to other global diseases, affecting over 1 billion people worldwide.
Structural Adjustment Programs
Economic policy conditions imposed by organizations like the IMF to reshape health outcomes in developing countries.
Environmental Health
Aspects of human health and quality of life determined by factors in the environment.
Social Determinants of Health
Conditions in which people are born, grow, live, work, and age that affect health.
