Adverse Effects
Negative outcome of med at theraputic dose, usually more severe than side effects.
Relative Contraindication
Medication has greater than usual risk for patient, may still be used
Absolute Contraindication
Medication should not be used at all
Absorption interaction
Alters way body absorbs med. May cause more or less to be absorbed
Distribution Interaction
Medication competes over protein binding, changing effect of medication
Metabolism Interaction
Medication increases or decreases the amount of enzymes in the liver that can increase/decrease amount of med in system
Metabolite
product of a substance being metabolized into new substance
Excretion Interaction
One medication effects how kidney excretes another, increasing or reducing effect or causing toxicity

uniqueness of dose/dosage form, commercially unavaliable
