Particulates
Particles of carbon that come from incomplete combustion and cause respiratory problems for people.
Incomplete combustion
A chemical process that results in the formation of particulates, including carbon particles.
Acid rain
A phenomenon that occurs when hame gases, such as HNO, are absorbed during cloud formation, resulting in rain with an acidic pH.
Environmental impact of acid rain
Acid rain damages the environment by making water acidic for aquatic animals, which causes algae to overpopulate.
Wet lime scrubbing
A specific technique used to reduce acid and harmful gas emissions.
