Endocrine: secrete hormones directly into blood

Substances like oil, sweat, enzymes
Why are endocrine glands highly vascularized?
To quickly release hormones into the bloodstream
What is the histology of endocrine glands?
Simple cuboidal cells in clusters around capillaries
What is a target cell?
A cell with receptors for a specific hormone
Why can one hormone have different effects?
Different target cells respond differently
