BPM range for junctional rhythm?
40-60 BPM
Junctional rhythm characteristics
no p-waves present
BPM 40-60 BPM
narrow QRS <120 ms
1st degree AV block characteristics
PR interval greater than or equal to 200 ms
this is 5 small boxes or one big box
(normal one is 120-200 ms)
no dropped beats
2nd-degree AV block, mobitz I
PR is getting progressively getting longer and longer until there is a dropped beat
PR interval starts over and then the cycle repeats
tip: look at the PR interval that goes before and after the dropped beat, are they different?
2nd-degree AV block, mobitz II
PR interval is constant (can be both prolonged or not)
dropped beats
idioventricular rhythm characteristics
rate is origninating from the ventricles
BOM usually 20-40 BPM
QRS → wide, greater than or equal to 120 ms (three small boxes)
normally no p-waves
atrial fibrillation characteristics
no p-waves
irregular rhyrthms
multifocal atrial tachycardia (MAT)
irregular regular (varying PR intervals)
p-wave morphology is greater than or equal to 3
** rate: at least 100 BPM
wandering atrial pacemaker
irregular regular (varying PR intervals)
p-wave morphology is greater than or equal to 3
less than 100 BPM
