Cohabitation

• Practice of living together when you’re not married

• Traditionalists disagree as it applies a sexual relationship and they believe sex before marriage is wrong

Divorce

• Legal ending of a marriage

• Many Christians believe it’s wrong as it goes against vows

Contraception

• Methods used to prevent pregnancy or spread of STIs

• Goes against Gods direction to “Be fruitful and multiply”

Adultery

• Voluntary sexual intercourse between people outside your marriage

• 10 commandments - “Thou shalt not commit adultery”

Roles

• Position, status or social function of a person in society

• Role of parent is to love and support children

Relationships

• Emotional association between people that binds them together

• Sacred texts say we have a duty to build positive relationships with others

Responsibility

• Actions and duties that people are expected to carry out

• Muslims have a responsibility to carry out the 5 pillars

Gender equality

• All genders to have the same rights and opportunities in all aspects of life

• “We are all one in Christ”

Commitment

• Sense of dedication to someone or something

• Religious believers make a commitment to God and his teachings
