Strong Entity
An entity that can be identified by its own attributes and does not rely on another entity.
Weak Entity
An entity that cannot be identified by its own attributes and relies on a strong entity for identification.
Identifying Relationship
A relationship in which one entity identifies another, usually between a strong entity and a weak entity.
Identifying Attributes
Attributes of an entity that are used to uniquely identify instances of that entity.
Entity Instance
A specific occurrence of an entity in a database.
