Internet
A global network of interconnected computers linked by a broad array of relevant technologies, originally developed in the 1970s as a military-only communications system.
ARPANET
The military-only communications network system developed by the United States during the 1970s which served as the precursor to the Internet.
World Wide Web
Known as W3, WWW, or Web; it is a collection of websites containing information that uses the Internet as its infrastructure.
Personal/Blog Website
A type of website for an owner’s personal use, often containing any content and typically using the .net or country-specific (e.g., .ph) domain suffix.
Educational/Academic Website
Websites that contain information for learning skills or earning degrees, often using articles, games, or video and denoting their nature with the .edu domain suffix.
Commercial/Business Website
Websites that offer products or services to potential customers and usually use the .com domain suffix.
Portfolios
Websites used by creative professionals like artists, writers, and designers to showcase their best work online, typically using the .com suffix.
Media and Entertainment Website
Websites containing consumable information like showbiz news, soap operas, or headlines, commonly using the .com domain suffix.
Organizational/Government Website
Websites that serve as trusted sources for groups or public entities, using .org for organizations and .gov for government sites.
Social Media Sites
