What was the Cold War?
The Cold War was a global political and ideological struggle between the United States and the Soviet Union after World War II that involved proxy wars, propaganda, military competition, and the spread of influence without direct war between the two superpowers.

What is Communism?

What is Totalitarianism?
A system of government where the state has total control over politics, society, media, education, religion, and often citizens’ private lives. Opposition is not tolerated.
What is a Democracy? Why does it support Capitalism?
A democracy is a system where people elect leaders and participate in government through voting and representation. Democracies often support capitalism because capitalism encourages private ownership, competition, consumer choice, and individual freedoms instead of government control over the economy.
How did the Soviet Union take control of Eastern Europe after WWII?
The Soviet Union occupied Eastern Europe with the Red Army after defeating Nazi Germany, installing loyal communist governments in countries such as Poland, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, and East Germany.
What did Western Europe unite against after WWII?

Afghanistan
