Graphs
Visual tools that allow rapid information processing, displaying data trends and distributions.
Bar Graph
A chart that uses bars to represent categories of data, making it easy to compare values.
Pie Chart
A circular chart divided into sectors that visually represents proportions of a whole.
Categorical Variable
A type of variable that represents categories or groups, such as gender or education level.
Quantitative Variable
A type of variable that represents numerical values and can be measured.
Distribution
The arrangement of values a variable can take and the frequency of those values in a dataset.
Sample
A subset of a population used to represent the data for analysis.
Trend
A pattern or direction of change in data over time.
Correlation
The statistical relationship between two variables, indicating how one may affect the other.
Item Statistics
Analysis of test items to check their performance, including correct response rates and correlations.
Validity
The extent to which a test measures what it claims to measure.
Raw Points
The unadjusted scores or values before any statistical treatment or adjustment.
Percentage Change
A statistical measure that expresses the degree of change over time as a proportion of the original value.
Seasonal Variation
Fluctuations in data that occur at regular intervals due to seasonal factors.
Double Bar Graph
A bar graph that displays two sets of data side by side for comparison.
