BE FAST
An acronym used to identify symptoms of a stroke: Balance, Eyes (Blurred Vision), Facial droop, Arm weakness, Slurred speech.
B - Balance
A symptom of stroke indicating loss of balance or coordination.
E - Eyes (Blurred Vision)
A symptom of stroke characterized by sudden blurred vision.
F - Facial Droop
A symptom of stroke where one side of the face droops or feels numb.
A - Arm Weakness
A symptom of stroke where one arm may feel weak or numb.
S - Slurred Speech
A symptom of stroke where speech becomes slurred or difficult to understand.
Time to call 9-1-1
Immediate action to take when stroke symptoms are observed as prompt medical attention is critical.
