• explain concepts of how the person, environment, and occupation interrelate as a system

• does not target specific age groups or health conditions

Frames of Reference

• address specific disabilities that cause problems with occupational performance

• is drawn from interdisciplinary knowledge and research, and offers specific techniques and strategies

• have all but disappeared from OT literature'
