Motive
Need or desire that energizes behavior and directs it towards a goal.
Drive Reduction Theory
The theory that suggests the need to maintain physiological or psychological balance, addressing basic biological drives such as hunger.
Arousal Theory
Theory that proposes the need to maintain optimum arousal, suggesting that moderate arousal yields the best performance.
Hierarchy of Needs
