Gilman Hall is home to our humanities research and courses—one of the foundations of our liberal arts-based curriculum. A liberal arts curriculum just means we value learning within and beyond your major so you graduate with key skills like writing and communication, reasoning, and analysis.

·      On campus housing is guaranteed and required for the first 2 years

·      There are 5 residence hall options for first-year students. AMR I and II are traditional style, meaning there is a communal bathroom in the hallway

·      AMR III, Wolman, and McCoy are suite-style, meaning two rooms share a bathroom and a kitchenette. There is a common lounge on each floor too.

·      Roommate assignment is based on a lifestyle questionnaire you fill out in the summer. Sophomores can choose their roommates.

·      Security is a high priority, and the university takes a proactive approach

·      113 Blue Lights with emergency phones, security will appear in less than 30 seconds

·      Blue Jay Shuttle, Blue Jay Night Ride with free Lyfts

·      We have Campus Police and security officers and ID sign-in for buildings in the evenings

·      New Student Orientation includes information about living safely in a city and a security walk to get the lay of the land around campus

There’s so much to do here that makes Baltimore and our campus feel like home. The entire city is affordable and easily accessible, and there’s always something fun happening on-campus or off-campus.
