The Personal Laptop
Effective leaders must regularly "reboot" their lives by spending time with God, because they can't function well without spiritual renewal.
Just like a laptop slows down, crashes, or becomes ineffective without restarting or recharging, people—especially leaders—need time to pause, reflect, and reconnect with God to stay healthy and effective.

Pyrrhic Victory
A win isn't truly a win if it costs you too much—especially your character, relationships, or spiritual health.
Sometimes people "win" (get what they want), but the price they pay is so high that it's actually a loss in the long run.
Chess & Checkers
•Leaders connect with individuals based on their unique personalities and strengths
•Leaders need to spot potential talent outside of the boxes that people have been placed in
Critical Mass
•Change starts with a small, influential group—not everyone
•"Implosion before explosion" (internal buy-in first)
•People support what they help create
•Movements spread through relationships over time
•Small committed groups create large-scale change
The Ripple effect
Small Actions Create Big Impact
•Tiny habits when done consistently spread
•Have larger outcomes
Personal Change Influence Others
•Improving yourself affects others around you
Modeling Behavior Matters
•People get influenced by what you do or say
•Habits silently inspire others
Choir Director
-choir directors assemble and direct a "team"
-looks for the right people, not the best people
-at the end of the show, the choir gets the applause; not the director
Emotional Fuel
•Driving with the needle on empty.
•Leadership requires "emotional fuel."
•Some lead to be fueled by followers (not good).
•Running on empty eventually leads to disaster.
•Your network is your net worth.
Thermostat and Thermometer
•Thermostat- changes the temperature
•Thermometer- tells what temperature is, reflects it
•Most people are thermometers
•Leaders must be thermostats
•Good leaders set the climate through authenticity
•Leaders live by values and add value
