Methods used to collect data
Simple Random Sampling
Every member of a population has an equal chance of being selected.
Systematic Sampling
A starting point is chosen at random and then items are selected at regular intervals.
Stratified Sampling
A population is divided into subgroups and samples from each subgroup are chosen.
Cluster Sampling
The population is divided into subgroups and a random sample of entire subgroups are chosen.
Convenience Sampling
Choose a sample that is easy or close by to ask. This method is typically biased (does not represent an entire group as well).
