Hook, Bridge, Thesis statement.
What specific elements or pieces do you need in body paragraphs?
Topic sentence, textual evidence (2–3 pieces), explanation and analysis, concluding sentence.
How would you write a conclusion? What should you say, or not say?
DO – 2–3 sentences, reword your thesis, and wrap up your essay with any final thoughts. DON’T – write 'In Conclusion'.

What is a counterclaim? Where does it go?
It shows the other side of the argument that you are making. It goes in between your claim body paragraphs.
How do you write a counterclaim paragraph?
State the counterclaim, turn against your claim, give a rebuttal (proving the counterclaim is wrong), state why your claim is still true.

Instead of using “I”, “Me”, or “My” in an essay, name three other words to use.
