Solid Waste

Aorta
Main artery supplying oxygenated blood to the body
Kidney
Two “bean-shaped” organs that filter blood and produce urine
Renal Artery
Supplies unfiltered (oxygenated) blood from the aorta directly into the kidneys
Renal Vein
Carries filtered (deoxygenated) blood out of the kidneys
Ureter
Tubes that connect to the renal pelvis of each kidney to drain urine down to the bladder
Urethra
The channel that conducts urine from the bladder to the exterior environment
Urinary Bladder
A temporary storage organ for urine prior to elimination
