• Continuous Erythropoietin Receptor Activator

• Long acting ESA w/ PEG modifications

• 1 SC injection/mo

Omontys (peginesatide)

• Was FDA approved synthetic peptide-based ESA for CKD-induced anemia in 2012

• Voluntarily recalled for reports of severe hypersensitivity rxns in 2013

Jesduvroq (daprodustat)

• FIC oral HIF-PHI (HIF2ɑ/PHD2 inhibitor) T1T QD anemia therapy due to CKD in adults on dialysis for @ least 4 mo

• Same ESA black box warnings (high CV risk)

• Contraindications: Strong CYP2C8 inhibitors (ie gemfibrozil)

Neupogen (filgrastim) + Neulasta (pegfilgrastim)

• Recombinant Granulocyte Colony-Stimulating Factors (rG-CSF) to reduce CIN/FN incidence/severity post-chemotherapy

• Increase neutrophil proliferation + lower infection/all-cause mortality

• Neulasta Onpro - automated device to give pt dose ~26 hrs post-therapy

First biosimilar approved in the US by the FDA for the treatment of neutropenia

Nucala (mepolizumab)

• Anti-IL-5 MAb to selectively inhibit eosinophilic airway inflammation + significantly reduce severe asthma exacerbations (regardless of IgE lvls in blood)

• Add-on maintenance therapy w/ a high-dose inhaled GC

Eohilia (budesonide oral suspension)

Indicated for Eosinophilic Esophagitis (EoE)

Actemra (tolizumab)

• COVID-19 IV therapy in hospitalized adults + systemic CS + one of the following:

  • Supplemental O₂

  • Mechanical ventilation

  • ECMO

• Specifically blocks IL-6
