Muggle
A term used within the wizarding world to describe individuals who lack magical powers.
Gringotts
The primary bank for wizards, which is located far beneath the city of London and is overseen by goblins.
Sorting Hat
An artifact that analyzes a student's thoughts and personality to assign them to one of the four school houses.
Philosopher's Stone
A mythical object of great value that can create gold and provide a substance known as the Elixir of Life.
Quidditch
A complex team sport played on broomsticks that uses three different types of balls: the Quaffle, Bludgers, and the Golden Snitch.
Invisibility Cloak
An enchanted garment passed down to Harry that allows the person wearing it to become completely hidden from view.
Mirror of Erised
A magical looking glass that portrays what a person wants more than anything else in the world.
Fluffy
A large creature with three heads tasked with guarding a secret entrance located on the third floor of the school.
Diagon Alley
A hidden merchant district where students and teachers go to buy wands, books, and other necessary items for education.
Platform Nine and Three-Quarters
The secret boarding location at King's Cross Station accessed by walking through a solid barrier between two ordinary platforms.
Gryffindor
One of the four academic houses, which traditionally values traits such as bravery, nerve, and chivalry.
Slytherin
A school house that is frequently associated with ambition, resourcefulness, and cleverness.
Hufflepuff
A house within the school where students are characterized by their loyalty, fairness, and willingness to work hard.
Ravenclaw
An academic house for those who possess a ready mind and place high value on intelligence and wisdom.
Golden Snitch
The smallest ball in the game of Quidditch, which is very fast and must be caught by a Seeker to gain a large score and end the match.
Forbidden Forest
An area out of bounds to students that contains various dangerous magical creatures and mysterious inhabitants.
Remembrall
A magical gift that turns red to indicate its holder has forgotten something important.
Nimbus Two Thousand
An advanced model of broomstick used for flying and sports, known for its superior handling and speed.
Norbert
A Norwegian Ridgeback dragon that was hatched by Hagrid before being sent away for safety.
Seeker
The specific player on a Quidditch team responsible for finding and catching the Golden Snitch.
