A national non-stock, non-profit organization that promotes sustainability and environmentally sensitive practices in the property sector.
Design Charrette
A component under the Management category of BERDE involving a collaborative session to draft a project design.
Bicycle Rider Amenities
Transportation credit requiring lanes at least 1.20m wide and parking within 200m of a building entrance for 5% or more of full-time equivalent occupants.
Materials Recovery Facility (MRF)
A facility established for the operational life of the building to manage and recycle waste materials.
Chi
The vital energy concerned with flow and circulation in Feng Shui, resulting from the interplay of Yin and Yang within the five elements.
Sheng chi
The term for positive energy in Feng Shui.
Sha chi
The term for negative energy in Feng Shui.
Pakua (Bagua)
A mirrored item placed on the outside of a house to deflect negative energy from entering.
Three Lucky Gods
Fuk (wealth and happiness), Luk (importance and affluence), and Sau (health and longevity).
South (Feng Shui Direction)
Associated with the fire element, summer, and the color red; represented by the Phoenix animal.
North (Feng Shui Direction)
Associated with the flow of energy for earning money, the water element, winter, and the color black; represented by the Turtle animal.
Sustainable (Pillar of Quality Open Space)
Aligning with SDGs to balance present needs with future generations, ensuring economic viability and social equity.
Resilient (Pillar of Quality Open Space)
The ability to withstand and recover from disasters and climate change by integrating biodiversity and permeable surfaces.
DHSUD
Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development; provides technical assistance and enforces compliance for open space provisions.

A large stately tomb for one or more interments, usually with provisions for an ossuary or cinerarium, requiring a minimum size of 4m×5m.

A string of land margining a body of water between the low-water line and the upper limit of wave wash at high tide.

Intended for low density residential use, characterized by low-rise single-detached and duplex buildings for single family dwellings.

High density commercial area for regional shopping centers and large malls; also known as the Central Business District (CBD).
TOD-OZ
Transit-Oriented Development Overlay Zone; areas around transit centers where commercial and residential growth are encouraged to maximize public transit access.
