What cells rescive pain signals?
Substantia gelatinosa (SG)
Pain occurs when
SG cells are stimulated by an Afferent nerve and it then produces a neurotransmitter that communicates with the injured organ tissue and relays message to the brain
Neurotrasnmitters
produces by pituitary gland and hypothalamus during pain, excitement etc and they attach to SG cell receptors to prevent communicated wit damageo organ and prevent pain
Mechanoreceptors
Detect touch, pressure, vibration, and sound.
Photoreceptors
Detect light and allow vision.
Chemoreceptors
Detect chemicals involved in taste and smell.
Thermoreceptors
Detect changes in temperature.
Nociceptors
Detect pain from potentially harmful stimuli
