The first ever photograph was created using heliography and the camera obscura. It was reated by the french inventor, Joseph Nicéphore Niépce between 1826 and 1827. The picture itself depicts the view outside of Niépce’s workroom window on his estate, Le Gras, near Chalon-sur-Saône, France.
