When was surveying first recorded?
Egypt Sesostris (about 1400 B.C) divided the land of Egypt into plots for taxation

What do we do when surveying?
Measure the distance, angles and posistion on or near the surface of the earth using differenet measuring tools
Aerial survey
a type of surveying, using aircraft or satellite with a camera or sensor to map the surveyed area, measurments are done on images the camera or sensor created
Ground survey
surveying on the surface of the earth, everything is measured by physically touching them.
Based on the area being surveyed, ground survey is divided into: Geodetic survey, Plane survey
