The Kaaba

Located in Mecca, Saudi Arabia. The Ka’Ba specifically is a large square stone building where Abraham, whose sons are said to be the ancestor of the Jewish people (Isaac) and ancestor of the Muslim people (Ishmael), was involved in the establishment of the Ka’Ba as one of the two people (along with Ishmael) who raised it from the foundations. It is important to the Jewish people for its link to Isaac, Abraham’s son, and Abraham himself. Abraham was one of the main reasons the Jewish people were accepted as refugees in Israel– The Muslim and Jewish religions are considered to be “sister” religions, and this common ancestor + the common God assists in this, and The Pact of Umar as well as A Caliphal Proclamation of Appointment for a New Gaon exemplify this respect.
