Pentecost 33 A.D.

Peter gives a speech explaining that Jesus is the messiah that converts 3000 people. After this, the Apostles preached the Gospel across the Roman Empire.

Conversion of St. Paul 33 A.D.

Encounters Jesus on the road to Damascus. He learns the truth and gets baptized. He goes all around the Roman Empire preaching the good news.

Council of Jerusalem 50 AD

Paul went to Jerusalem to meet with the other Apostles to discuss the issues.

Fire of Rome 64 AD

Persecution started with Nero blamed Christians for the Fire of Rome: Persecution took the form of harassment, removal of private property, and death. Two young mothers,St. Perpetua and Felicity, were martyred for their faith.

Council of Nicaea 325 AD

Rejected modalism in 325 AD that taught in the Niceaea Creed that the Father and Son are each God.

Council Constantinople 381 AD

Taught the son and Holy Spirit are consubstantial with God the Father.

Council of Ephesus 431 AD

A title is given to Mary - Theotokos “God-bearer: Mary is the Mother of God.
