Trapped gas in the atmosphere that keeps the earth warm.

Groups of ecosystems that have similar climates and communities.

Biodiversity

Refers to the number and types of species that live in an area.

Tropical Rainforest

Dominated by heavy rainfall and warm year-round temperatures.

Savanna

A type of grassland, home to zebra and lions.

Desert

Has very little rainfall, home to cactus and snakes.

Grassland

Found in the midwest (U.S), home to prairie dogs.

Chaparral

Found in California, dominated by shrubs and has frequent fires.

Temperate Deciduous Forest

Type of forest that has trees with leaves that fall in autumn.

Boreal Forest

Type of forest that has evergreen (conifer) trees, Northern U.S. and Canada.

Tundra

Cold region that has a permafrost and long winters.
