GCF
Greatest Common Factor: the largest positive integer that divides each of the integers without a remainder.
LCM
Least Common Multiple: the smallest positive integer that is divisible by each of the integers.
Cuisenaire Rods
Colored rods used to teach mathematical concepts, particularly in visual representation of numbers.
Relatively Prime
Two integers a and b are relatively prime if the only positive integer that divides both of them is 1.
Conjecture
An unproven statement that is believed to be true, based on observations.
GCD
Greatest Common Divisor: another term for GCF, indicating the largest factor shared by two or more integers.
Proof
A logical argument demonstrating the truth of a conjecture or statement.
Tiling Problem
A problem that involves covering a surface without overlaps or gaps, often involving GCD for sizes.
Divisibility
A relationship in which one number can be divided by another number without a remainder.
Square Formation
Laying out objects such that they create a perfect square shape.
