Model
A broad theoretical foundation that explains occupation, participation, and the interaction between the person, environment, and occupation; it provides the "big picture."

CMOP-E (Canadian Model of Occupational Performance and Engagement)

Occupational Adaptation (OA)
An OT model where the client acts as the change agent to adapt to occupational challenges in order to achieve relative mastery.
Ecology of Human Performance (EHP)
A model focused on how context and environment influence performance range, utilizing five intervention approaches: establish/restore, adapt/modify, alter, prevent, and create.
Biomechanical FOR
A frame of reference focused on physical abilities including strength, ROM, coordination, and endurance, used in orthopedic settings.

A frame of reference used for children that focuses on sensory processing and sensory responses.
