T Levels
A new, 2-year Level 3 qualification for 16- to 19-year-olds, equivalent to 3 A levels.
Industry Placement
A mandatory component of T Levels, lasting a minimum of 315 hours, providing practical experience in a workplace.
Employer Responsibilities
Duties of employers during the placement, including induction, supervision, and ensuring student safety.
Student Induction
The process of introducing students to the workplace, covering health and safety and organization policies.
Workplace Mentor
An assigned individual who provides informal support to students, helping them settle into the work environment.
Progress Indicators
Standards used to measure the skills and behaviours that students should develop during their placement.
Student Logbook
A record where students track their progress against learning objectives throughout their placement.
Reasonable Adjustments
Modifications made to support students with Special Educational Needs or Disabilities (SEND) during their placements.
Completion Declaration Form
A form signed by employers and providers confirming that students have met the criteria to complete their industry placement.
Health and Safety Compliance
Legal requirements ensuring a safe environment for students during their placement.
