Variable
Any factor, trait, or condition that can differ.
Independent variable
The one thing you change in an experiment, which is controlled by the scientist and should be limited to only one.
Dependent variable
The change that happens because of the independent variable; it is measured by the scientist to prove or disprove their hypothesis.
Controlled variables
Everything you want to remain constant and unchanging throughout the experiment so that they do not interfere with the dependent variable.
