What is Venial Sin?
A sin committed in a less serious matter. It doesn’t destroy our relationship with God and his love within us. It does weaken our relationship with God and the church community and it weakens our ability to resist mortal sin.

Forgiveness of sins - if someone is contrite and was notable to receive absolution in the Sacrament of Penance and Reconciliaton, they can receive forgiveness for their sins now
Union of the sick person to Christ in his Passion - suffering no longer is simply a consequence of Original Sin
Strength, peace, and courage to endure the sufferings of illness and old age: this is in its self a grace of healing
