Joining adjectives to describe an activity

Drop　い　ADD　くて

Eg: たのしくて　おもしろい

Activityは　Adjectiveい　くて Adjective　です。

Example: クラブかつどうは　たのしくて　おもしろいです。
Club activities are fun and interesting.

Past tense adjective rules

Drop い　 add かった

Example: すごい　→　すごかった　（Was amazing）

Joining adjective rules

Drop い　add くて

Example: すごい　→　すごくて  　（Amazing and..）

Asking what someone did at a particular time

　(Person は)　Time expression  に  何(なに)を　しましたか。

Saying what someone did at a particular time

a. (Person は)　 (Time expression  に)  Activity wordを　Verb (past tense) 。

OR

b.  (Personは)　（Time expressionに）　Place　に　いきました。

 

Examples:

けんさんは　せんしゅう　     おみやげを　かいました。   　　Ken bought a souvenir last week.

Example:

Forming past tense verbs

Past Tense: ます　BECOMES　ました

              Negative Past Tense:  ません　BECOMES　ませんでした

Eg:　たべます　→　たべました  (Ate)

Eg: たべます　→　たべませんでした    (Did not eat)

Forming past tense adjectives

DROP い　ADD　かった Eｇ：　すごい　→　すごかった
