Vagary
An unpredictable or erratic action, occurrence, or instance; an unexpected change in a situation or in someone's behavior. Synonyms: Quirk, idiosyncrasy, peculiarity, oddity, foible, unpredictability.
Vantage
A position giving a strategic advantage or comprehensive view. Synonyms: Point of view, viewpoint, standpoint, outlook, perspective.
Venal
Describes a person willing to behave in a way that is not honest or moral in exchange for money. Synonyms: Corrupt, bribable, buyable, crooked, corruptible, greedy, dishonorable.
Vitiate
To spoil or damage the quality or efficacy of something. Synonyms: Damage, impair, corrupt, debase.
Vilify
To attack the reputation of a person or thing with strong or abusive criticism. Synonyms: Disparage, denigrate, defame, revile, berate, belittle.
Vintage
Term used to describe clothing, jewelry, etc. that is not new, especially when it is a good example of a style from the past; typical of a period of lasting value and showing the best character of a thing.
