Global health
The effort to improve health and achieve fairness and equal access to healthcare services for people all over the world.
Well-being
The overall state of being healthy, happy, and comfortable, including physical, mental, and social health.
Physical health
The proper functioning of the body, maintained through a balanced diet, regular exercise, and getting enough rest.
Mental health
A person's emotional and psychological well-being, which affects how they think, feel, and act.
Social health
The ability to form and maintain healthy relationships through communication, respect, and supporting others.
Malnutrition
A condition occurring when a person does not get the right amount of nutrients, involving either too little or too much intake.
Stunted growth
An effect of malnutrition where children do not grow properly due to a lack of nutrients.
Infectious diseases
Illnesses caused by microorganisms such as bacteria, viruses, parasites, or fungi that can spread between people or through the environment.
World Health Organization (WHO)
An international organization that leads global health efforts, monitors the spread of illnesses, and sets international health standards.
UNICEF
An international organization focusing on improving the lives of children and mothers through health, nutrition, and education.
International Red Cross
An organization that provides humanitarian aid, medical care, and food during emergencies, wars, and natural disasters.
Healthcare access
The ability of individuals to receive medical services, including hospitals, doctors, and medicines, when they are needed.
Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs)
Groups that support healthcare in poor or remote areas by providing medical aid, education, and emergency help.
Awareness campaigns
Activities like posters, assemblies, or social media posts used to inform people about health issues and promote healthy behaviors.
Local action
Steps taken by individuals, schools, or communities at a small level to help solve global health problems.
Healthcare Inequality
The differences in healthcare availability between different regions, such as developed countries versus developing countries or urban versus rural areas.
