Temporalis
A muscle named based on its location over the temporal bone.


Deltoid
A muscle named based on its triangular shape.


Biceps brachii
a prominent, two-headed muscle situated on the anterior (front) aspect of the upper arm, spanning from the scapula (shoulder blade) to the radius (forearm bone).


Triceps brachii
the large, three-headed muscle located on the back of the upper arm. Its primary function is to straighten the arm (extend the elbow) and provide stability to the shoulder joint


Sternocleodomastoid
a thick, superficial muscle on each side of the neck that connects the breastbone, collarbone, and skull


Nucleus of muscle cell (fiber)
Also called myonucleus
The organelle found within smooth, cardiac, and skeletal muscle types.


Serratus anterior
Named for its jagged, saw-like appearance, it originates on the upper ribs and inserts into the inner surface of the shoulder blade (scapula)
