A name given to the Mediterranean Sea because it had become the private property of the Roman Empire.
Auguste
The first emperor who launched Roman conquests between 27 and 14 BC (avant Jésus-Christ).
Hadrien
The Roman emperor who protected the empire by building Limes and camps for legionnaires.
Bretagne
A Roman province located in Europe.
Syrie
A Roman province located in Asia.
Cyrenaïque
A Roman province located in North Africa.
Barbares
Peoples who threatened the Roman Empire, including the Germains, Arabes, Parthes, Maures, and Scotts.
