DMV: Turning and Lane Markings

Pass vehicles and change lanes without interfering with traffic

If on solid line, you cannot pass or left turn

If on dotted line, you can pass without interfering with traffic

Cannot pass or change lanes, stay in lane or enter/exit highway

Pass other vehicles because of road obstructions

For right turn:
Right lane then turn onto right lane

Left turn: One way to one way:

Left lane then turn onto left lane

Left turn: One way to two way:

Left lane then turn onto right lane

Left turn: Two way to two way:

Right lane then turn onto right lane

Left turn: Two way to one way:

Right lane then turn onto left lane

Left turn: Two way to Highway:

Right lane then turn onto right lanes leftest one
