What is Communication?
Communication is defined as a way of conveying a meaningful message from one entity to another in the form of signs, symbols, behavior, verbal, and non-verbal skills.
Importance of Communication Skills
Communication is important for various reasons such as informing, persuading, and expressing feelings.
Elements of Communication
The basic elements of communication are: Sender, Message, Channel, Receiver, Feedback.

Types of Communication
The three main types of communication are verbal, non-verbal, and visual.
Verbal Communication
Verbal communication uses words, sentences, and grammar to share information with others, and can be either oral or written.
Non-Verbal Communication
It involves communication through physical and physiological cues without spoken or written words, such as body language, gestures, and facial expressions.
Visual Communication
It conveys messages through visual means like images, symbols, and graphs.
Closed-Ended Questions
Questions that can typically be answered with a simple 'yes' or 'no'.
Open-Ended Questions
Questions that encourage detailed responses and cannot be answered with just 'yes' or 'no.'
Parts of Speech
The categories of words that have different functions in a sentence include noun, pronoun, verb, adverb, adjective, conjunction, preposition, and interjection.
What is a Sentence?
A sentence is a group of words arranged together that has a complete meaning.
What is a Paragraph?
A paragraph is made up of multiple sentences with a common theme, starting with an introduction, followed by descriptive sentences, and concluding with a supportive statement.
Use of Articles
Articles are words used to define a noun as specific (definite article 'the') or non-specific (indefinite articles 'a' and 'an').
Punctuation Marks
Symbols used to help the reader understand the meaning of a sentence and where to pause: Full Stop, Question Mark, Exclamation Mark, Comma, Apostrophe.
What are Phrases?
A phrase is a group of words that together form a complete meaning but lacks a subject and an object.
Different Types of Sentences
Sentences can be declarative, imperative, interrogative, or exclamatory.
