20th c Dada Something inside makes noise, but we don't know what it is. If we know what it is then it wouldn't be art. The noise was put in by his friend that is hidden from him as well. Something he could not make himself. Beginning of conceptual art. Is the artwork the idea or the object itself?

What does Dada mean?
refers to meaninglessness. Random word in dictionary means hobbyhorse. Nonsense syllables, name is pointless.

What does the word surreality based off of?
there's a reality we experience that is outside of traditions and conscious reality. Superreality.
