How do you make soluble salts?

  1. Gently heat an acid

  2. add an insoluble base in small amounts, until it stops reacting

  3. Filter out the excess base

  4. Heat the filtered solution to evaporate some of the water with a water bath, which will cause crystals to form

  5. leave it to cool, and filter the crystals out of the solution, then dry them
